The 2023 Johannes Aufricht “Completer” is a rare, lake-influenced expression of the ancient Completer grape, grown at the Bodensee (Lake Constance) in Baden. It shows a pale to medium gold hue, with an aromatic profile of white flowers, citrus zest, and subtle stone-fruit, underscored by a distinct flinty/mineral edge.

On the palate, expect lively acidity and a lean-to-medium body, with flavors of green apple, pear, and a hint of exotic fruit, all framed by a clean, slightly salty minerality. The texture is refined rather than broad, with gentle extract and no overt oak influence, giving a Burgundian feel but at lower alcohol and with more brightness. The finish is crisp, persistent, and subtly bitter-almond, making it an excellent partner for light fish, shellfish, or simply as an aperitif.
