2019 Krack Sekthaus Langenmorgen Riesling Sekt Brut Nature

Krack’s 2019 Langenmorgen Riesling Sekt Brut Nature brings the distinctive character of a celebrated Deidesheim vineyard to traditional-method sparkling wine. Made entirely from Riesling in Germany’s Pfalz region, it comes from a site sheltered by the Palatinate Forest, with weathered sandstone, loess loam and calcareous elements shaping its growing conditions.

Hand-harvested fruit, spontaneous fermentation of the base wine in wood and extended bottle ageing on the lees build depth without obscuring Riesling’s freshness. The Brut Nature finish is achieved without dosage. Expect citrus peel, apple and stone-fruit notes alongside subtle smoke, herbs and brioche, carried by a fine mousse and a savoury, saline impression. Its combination of creamy texture and focused acidity makes it equally interesting as an aperitif or at the table.

We suggest serving it around 8–10°C in a tulip-shaped sparkling-wine glass or a small white-wine glass. Pair with oysters, trout tartare, lightly cooked shellfish or crisp potato rösti.
