2020 Takahiko Soga Yoichi-Nobori Rosé de Noir

$3,580.00 HKD

Yoichi-Nobori Rosé de Noir 2020 is a distinctive rosé made by Takahiko Soga in Yoichi, Hokkaido. The Yoichi-Nobori name identifies wines made with grapes purchased from growers in the surrounding Nobori area, while the label carries Soga’s own name. This vintage was released for sale through retailers in Hokkaido.

Wine Shop Fujii, which served the 2020 bottling, records a blend led by approximately 95% Pinot Noir, fermented with wild yeasts and matured for nine months in used barrels. It also cites the back label’s emphasis on a gentle, delicate and complex character reminiscent of Japanese dashi. These details make it an intriguing example of Soga’s interest in savoury flavours and the relationship between wine and Japanese food.

Now with several years of bottle age, it invites a thoughtful tasting alongside a meal. We suggest a moderate chill, a proper wine glass and time to open gradually. Consider gently cooked fish, roast chicken or mushroom dishes as pairing ideas. Supplied as one 750mL bottle.
