2023 Terre de ciel A - Pinot Noir Pedicelle

Pale ruby with a luminous edge. The nose is restrained at first, opening to red cherry, wild strawberry, and a whisper of dried rose petal, underscored by faint forest-floor and spice. On the palate, the attack is fresh and linear, with crisp acidity carrying pure red-fruit flavours—raspberry, cranberry, and a hint of plum. Tannins are fine and silky, lending structure without grip, while subtle oak adds a touch of vanilla and cedar. The mid-palate is focused and mineral-driven, with a gentle savoury note of dried herbs and mushroom. Finish is clean and persistent, leaving impressions of red berries and a saline freshness. Still youthful and slightly closed, this will benefit from 12–24 months' cellaring to reveal greater complexity and depth. Best decanted an hour before serving; pair with roasted duck, mushroom risotto, or aged Comté.
