2024 Terre de ciel - Chardonnay

Nagano's Terre de Ciel crafts its 2024 Chardonnay from high-elevation Chikumagawa vines at 950m, blending 85% Chardonnay with 15% Savagnin for ethereal precision. Straw-gold in the glass, it reveals yuzu citrus, green apple, wet stone minerality, and acacia florals from wild yeast direct pressing.

Bright grapefruit acidity meets pithy texture, phenolic grip, and umami depth after 10 months in 500L/228L oak—unfiltered, zero SO2 added. Light-bodied yet flavorful, its saline bitterness shines with Hong Kong kaiseki or fresh oysters. The most delicate 2024 vintage, pairing Japanese finesse. Drink 2026-2032.
