Jean-Claude Ramonet Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru "Boudriotte" Blanc 2019
Jean-Claude Ramonet’s Chassagne-Montrachet Premier Cru “Boudriotte” Blanc 2019 brings together Chardonnay and one of the Côte de Beaune’s established names. This 750 ml bottle offers an opportunity to explore a premier cru white from a family whose reputation was built around the vineyards of Chassagne-Montrachet.
The Boudriotte white comes from Les Fairendes, a site within the broader Boudriotte area. Burgundy’s overlapping vineyard names can be intricate, but this particular bottling has its own place in the Ramonet range. The domaine’s history dates to 1930, and its wines have carried Jean-Claude Ramonet’s name since the 2014 vintage.
The producer’s traditional cellar approach includes fermentation in tank and barrel, followed by extended ageing on the lees with little stirring. That patient method is central to the depth and texture associated with its white wines. Boudriotte is appreciated for combining substance with finesse and a persistent finish.
We suggest serving around 12–13°C with turbot, roast poultry or mushrooms in a cream sauce, allowing the wine to unfold gradually in the glass.
